- Heh heh. I laughed about this a lot when I noticed it. Go into "Easy
- Header/Footer" and you should see your page numbers set somewhere. Change
- that entry to "Nothing" to get rid of the page numbers. (Or, technically,
- you could open the master page and delete them manually.) It is something
- of a bug... I was hoping FW4 would finally have real header and footer
- features that avoid the master pages entirely, but these two features are
- just like built-in macros. And "Easy Page Number" is completely redundant
- because page numbers are part of "Easy Header/Footer". Both of these do
- work in a crude sort of way, but my advice for Softwood to scrap these
- features entirely and start from scratch. Some much older, cruder word
- processors still handle headers and footers better that Final Writer.

- I'm using Final Writer 4 Lite, so I don't have EPS support, but I recall
- that problems like this might be from a shortage of ram... How much memory
- do you have free when you're printing?

- I noticed something like this long ago with Final Copy II, but haven't
- experienced it lately. I think the spell checker kept telling me the
- word 'the' was spelled wrong. I never bothered to try duplicating the
- bug, but I thought it might have something to do with repeated words in
- a sentence... (ie. The the sky is blue.)

- I was under the impression real footnotes were being added to FW5. Enough
- people have been asking, so it is about time.
-
- Hope this helps,
